Sunday marked the end of a one-week break from what some might call a "day job." And true to form, I filled every living minute with an overly ambitious uber-checklist for home, studio, and all points between.
I've played this game with myself enough times to know how it always turns out. I try to catch up on life stuff, but at the end of the "week off," I'm more stressed because of all the shit I didn't do.
God forbid a closet was left uncleaned. A garden left untilled. A song left unmixed. A cover left undesigned.
So it goes. Every damn staycation.
I don't deal well with boredom, and maybe I should. Maybe I should just try to be. Watch traffic. Listen to the house settle. Watch squirrels. Flip through a random book without reading it.
But I don't. So this post is as much for myself as it is for anyone reading. A mantra for any other Type A's out there like myself who might need this reminder on the reg:
