Brazil merch and new '27 projects
I have fallen behind.
I haven't been keeping this blog up.
But...there's still a lot going on (which is why, it could be argued, I've fallen behind).
In DL;BR news....
The pile of Brazil bootlegs is dwindling down. I've sent a bunch out this month, and anticipate sending lots more out before the end of the year. Not bad for a web-only release. This is not yet in stores, and may not ever be. Get yours here before they're gone.
The new merch we were supposed to have for Post Festival finally arrived and is up in the store. I'm really pleased with how they turned out. New hoodies, and two new tee shirts. I really wish we would have had this merch back in the touring days. They are that sexy.
I've started laying the groundwork for next year's flagship release. It's a project you may have heard of from time to time over the last decade or so. A certain spectral nocturnal hoodlum with a fast car. This is going to be the Rosetta Stone that busts the whole DL;BR fictive universe wide open. I can't wait.
The 500 Days of Night tour memoir has meandered its way to the 2002 Radiotakeover tour with Brazil, My Chemical Romance, and Underoath. Go give it a read, and watch us finally start to get our footing on the national tour circuit in the early Aughts.
In DL;BR-adjacent news....
(And by that, I mean things that aren't released by me, but are collaborations with good friends.)
The new collab single with Krohme featuring Living Color's Doug Wimbish is out now on Calm Bomb Collective. Whispers of vinyl are on the horizon. Check out "Paranoid" at Bandcamp or the other channels, and throw some money over to Calm Bomb. 100% of sales will go to Calm Bomb Collective, a non-profit 501(c)(3) benefitting Disabled, Autistic, and Neurodivergent artists.
A new batch of Fixation Arc songs have been completely tracked and are, I believe, ready for mixing. These songs are incredible, especially if you like old school technical thrash with ambient synth snaking in and out of the extreme parts. I'm oversimplifying. You just have to hear it. I'll give updates as I get them.
