I am literally on the last paragraphs of this six-year journey that has been my book, and I've got a slew of waiting projects hammering away at the gate like a horde of Visigoths on the banks of the Danube.
Once this wraps, I'm going headlong back into producer mode until the end of the year, hopefully cranking out a handful of new EPs in physical format (tapes, CDs, lathe-cut vinyl) for you all to check out. Note: from this point forward, all releases will include a limited-run physical artifact.
Here's a quick preview of what's in store (formats subject to change):
JC Autobody - Destroyer
Format: Digital, cassette
Continuing where "Say My Name" left off, Destroyer will be the full three-song EP (possibly four, for the subscribers!) that takes the JC Autobody saga into a fuzzed-out realm of Lemmy-powered motoriety and extra-strength Degüello.
JC Autobody - Drag
Format: Digital, lathe-cut vinyl
Technically a recovered "COVID recording," this two-song single+B-side was largely recorded at home on a four-track when the 'rona lockdown kept me out of the studio building for three months in 2020. What emerged was a raw, hyper-primitive Alan Lomax-style take on the blackened occult blues that forms the core of the Autobody palette.
Christmass - (untitled)
Format: Digital, CD
Our favorite funeral director from the northern tundra is stirring to life again, this time with an epic multi-movement single that draws from the crushing sounds of Tyranny, Slow, Sergei Rachmaninov and Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares.
Winter is coming.
