Welcome to Hoth.
Solstice has come and gone, and now it's the age old Midwest game of waiting out the rest of these cold and rotten, gray days til' we see the cardinals of spring.
To help get you (and me) through it, I collaborated on another playlist with James Bauman from the legendary noise rock outfits Racebannon and Medusa (and now the stage-destroying and effin' gnarly Wenches).
Perhaps it echoes both of our "not-quite-this-and-not-quite-that" approach when it comes to our respective bands, but James and I seem to share an itch for the under-explored edges between one vibe as it morphs to the next--the stateless interzone between punk and prog, kult and kraut, glam and slam. The seedier parts of town where the good stuff lives.
Or perhaps I read too much into things.
Either way...it made a ton of sense to put some songs together we both like to get us to the end of winter.
