Young Tobacco is the first full-length album and fourth studio recording by Jonathon Newby (as JC Autobody). It was released on February 16, 2015 by Young Tobacco Records and features eleven original songs.
The album explores a more polished sound influenced by metal antecedents Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, and introduces elements of electric blues with the addition of blues guitarist Sonny Yingst and organist Caleb Crockett. The album's imagery draws from B-movies, exploitation films and muscle car culture, with lyrical themes that include individualism, recklessness and mortality.
Songs from Young Tobacco have been played live in Chicago, Indianapolis and Muncie, IN, and have been used in a number of television shows including Riverdale and Lucifer.

Devil Driver
on the walls outside the city aerosol is painted black / purple flames upon the subway train / a graffiti heart attack / just a picture of a mercury like a signal in the grey just a rally cry for one to see/ barracuda monocaine / down an alleyway the hunter waits with a boot upon the gas / wind whispers like a banshee distant rumble sewer rat / beat it on the overpasses beat it on the freeway / yeah devil driver
The Highway Man
on the highway the time before the dawn is always the darkest / lightning the world is at an end and i see a spotlight / steady the rain is coming down down my neck it's cold / yeah i'm walking in the street because i'm abandoned / a slender man is walking up the path to my way / a monster every single mother's child is frightened / he reaches out his hand and i see my face in the glow / take a long long breath sleep in the arms of death feel yourself possessed in dreams of the Highway Man / a mirage, lighter flame hang a picture in a frame from the mirror looking back in the fog he wrote your name he’s gone again / out on the highway standing in the road two hours to morning just as he foretold

Stormbringer
smoke on the horizon drivers on the storm black camaro rising el camino swarm / a bloody moon is rising watch the sun go down dark Orion shining midnight ramble on / shifting down the mountain cutting through the fog round the curve of a dead man runnin from the law / drive like you gamble reckless / bring on the storm
She's On Fire (As Hard As She Can)
there’s someone i’m seein tonight she’s a girl i’ve known all my life she’s got a mind that’s just like mine it’s filled with trash / i’m sayin when we get together it’s gonna be some real bad weather the kind i like when she’s on fire as hard as she can / she got an eight ball on her shifter a pair of dice hangin from the mirror / some little dots under the skin of her hand / we cruise along at 95 another am radio night she spins the dial cause she’s on fire as hard as she can
