Where is my mind?

Way out in the water, see it swimmin.

Sunday Nov 10, 9:44 AM.

Late morning. Stayed in bed, scrolling on this object that I have grown to hate in my worsening digital eye fatigue.

I clearly remember 2020-21 and the endless lazy loading outrage that kept us all up at night while a pandemic, riots, insurrections, and a supply chain crisis carved off years of our lives.

Nevertheless, here we are in 2024.

Our political landscape has become the plot of Fight Club. America's Brexit. Its Hindenburg moment. Tens of millions of people just lost whatever faith they had remaining in the rule of law, and woke up to realize every Sunday school lesson they were taught was a myth at best, at worst a practical joke.

America has sobered me and tempered my expectations, is one way to put it.

Nevertheless, we'll persist.

Went to Sweetwater Music over the weekend for distraction and retail therapy. Every time I go, which isn't often, it multiplies in size. Showroom, auditorium, studios, food court, classrooms, medical center, Texas-sized warehouse. If shit hits the fan next year, you can find me bunkering up at the Sweetwater compound surviving on fistfuls of Smarties and Laffy Taffy.

Interesting news on the Brazil front. We've been chasing down our lost masters for the Philosophy of Velocity album across LA, Puerto Rico, London and found them in an archive in NY. Thank you, Dave Fridmann, for being a pack rat.

Now the legal stuff. And once that's done...who knows. Maybe we'll give it the life it should have lived.

Want some vinyl?

Reminder that EMOTIONS by the Tied Hands goes live December 3rd through January 11, taking the baton from The Thinker's Hub in The Republic of Liverpool. I'm recording the last bits of the Shangri-La tune and arriving at a poster design that I happen to like. This is all coming together nicely and it feels good to be part of something bigger.

Reminder that Fixation Arc just released a new track this week called "Machine Unlearning," which is now available on all digital storefronts. "A dark vision of a near-future, where the last of our humanity is sacrificed on the altar of the Algo Supreme."

The best of times.

The worst of times.

11:10 AM.
