Witches is the fifth studio recording by JC Autobody, released on October 30, 2015 by Young Tobacco Records. It was produced in Indiana by Jonathon Newby (as JC Autobody) and features three original songs and one cover.
Considered a "halloween" record, the EP features 70s-era analog synthesizers inspired by John Carpenter to push the electric blues-inspired metal into the edges of "horror psychedelia." Lyrically, Witches centers around the defunct Central State Hospital, formerly known as the Central Indiana Hospital for the Insane. Themes include entrapment, horror and the occult.
Songs from Witches have been performed in Indianapolis, IN.
"Seven Steeples," "Days of Noah" and "The Reaper" written by JC Autobody.
"Voodoo Child" written by Jimi Hendrix.
All songs produced by JC Autobody.
Recorded in Selma, IN, and at Penn Street Tower Apt 1403.
Mastered by Mike Major.
Additional guitar Sonny Yingst. Cover art by JC Autobody.
